Beautiful and intriguing 3d model that is one of my favourites. I have 23 dioramas now but the Castle is a bit different from the standard ‘room’ kits. It’s a challenge to put together - not for beginners! The finished castle can be turned around and viewed from all sides. Lots of little lights inside make it very fairy tale at night too.
I'm 2/3 of the way through the floating castle, to the point where it's standing on the base, and out of the dozen wood models I've built, this is the best engineered yet. The wood comes out of the forms easily and only one part wasn't quite cut to fit. A quick snip or two and a little glue made it good as new. I also appreciate the wall-mounted option, which will save on precious shelf space.
If you love steampunk and castle ,this is a perfect choice, all the detail is so great and everyone at my home can't move their eyes off it !

Just like a fairytale…!
The box arrived well packed but a bit squashed on one edge. Thankfully the contents were complete and in good order. The instructions were very clear and concise with the parts separating from the formers reasonably easy. The fit between parts was exceptionally good with only a minimum requiring a spot of glue to aid positioning. The only tricky parts were the paper and film parts when trying to fold and place them. At time of writing I still have some parts left to use on the remaining build process but it’s been an enjoyable and straightforward process. I look forward to displaying it on a model railway T Trak module in the near future.
